Clearer review-store setup and first-open recovery
Released
The hosted merchant app has been updated with first-open recovery, clearer plan information and a development-store test path that does not require a paid subscription.
- Opening the embedded app can reopen its store record after installation or reinstallation. Session recovery returns to the requested app page; uncertain saves and product creation are not automatically repeated.
- A Shopify-verified development store can prepare a labelled test box without a paid plan. The owner must accept the current data agreement, explicitly enable the test and pass the required configuration checks. Test authorization lasts up to one hour; ordinary-store sales keep their existing release and billing requirements.
- Plan and billing shows saved plan information, performs an initial check when no snapshot exists, and provides Refresh status for an explicit recheck. Paid plans are still selected and approved through Shopify.
- Setup links open the relevant theme steps, sample box templates explain their requirements, and incomplete tutorial material is hidden. Verify the exact saved theme before selling; Dawn 16 cart-page compatibility remains the existing tested baseline.
- The public homepage now uses responsive AVIF and WebP picker images to reduce image downloads on smaller screens.
This release is limited to the hosted merchant app and public website. Automated checks cover the updated setup and entitlement rules. The earlier two-store checkout evidence remains recorded on 14 October; a new complete checkout for the updated plan-free review path is still pending. Public installation remains unavailable. Sidekick, scheduling, translations and the cart drawer still await release.
